The City of Branson is located in Taney County, Missouri. Branson was named for Rueben Branson, a local postmaster and businessman from the 1880s, and is now home to over 6,000 residents. The area is often called the "Family-friendly Las Vegas" due to the many attractions, shows and neon lights.
